What is Yoga?

“The Original Hot Yoga”, is a sequence of 26 stretching postures, or asanas, and 2 breathing exercises practices in a heated room. Each asana is a challenge based on one’s personal abilities. This series has been carefully designed to work the entire body systematically. The heated room is a safe environment for deep stretching, helping to relieve resistant joints, muscles and ligaments while flushing the organs of toxins and restoring the body’s natural balance-just as nature intended.  Yoga sends freshly oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of the body, stimulating every system and providing a total body workout every time.

 

Yoga is not an enigma, religion or fad. It is a science developed over 5000 years ago. Yoga is unrivaled as a means of improving body health and flexibility, creating peace of mind and absence of stress. But there are no promises of instant gratification. Yoga is a practice. Be prepared to work hard. Be prepared to make demands of yourself. Be prepared to sweat. Be open to the experience and the discovery of yourself. The more you put into the class, the more you will get out of it. It is an awesome journey. Be patient with yourself and enjoy!
