We are honored you have chosen to practice with us. Please let your instructor know if there is anything we can do to make your yoga experience better.

We want every practitioner to have a safe and positive experience - please read the following thoroughly.

*It is not required to preregister for class. The studio opens 30 minutes before class starts. New Students please arrive early so we can welcome you properly. Doors are locked when class starts so plan your arrival time properly.

*Wear comfortable fitting clothes that will allow you to stretch - avoid cotton.

*It is best to practice on an empty stomach and fully hydrated.

* We encourage you to have your own mat. You will really enjoy having your space - your yoga mat will become your friend. Yes! We do have have rentals available.

*You will sweat & you will love it! Sweating increases flexibility & circulation. It detoxifies, encourages weight loss & helps you meditate. Please bring a bath size towel to cover your mat. Yes! We have rental towels available.

*NYS is not responsible for your personal items. Items left over 30 days will be donated.

*Let the instructor know, before class, of any injuries, medical conditions or concerns.

*Fragrances are hightened in the yoga room, please come to yoga clean and fragrance free.

*Your practice is time set asside especially for you, while in the room please refrain from talking & absolutely NO cell phones.

*Stay in the room for the entire class. If a situation requires you to step out, please notify the instructor first and re-enter between postures.

*Let the instructor tell you when to take the 1st water break. After that, you may have water between postures. The time to hydrate is before and after class.

*Practice stillness between postures & focus on yourself in the front mirror

*The front row helps to lead the class. If you put your mat there we ask that you set an example for those around you, being the most focused and disciplined. If you have an injury and need to modify postures, please avoid being in the front.

*All yoga is good yoga! BUT, please respect the class you are taking, If you are in an Origian Hot Yoga class, practice Original Hot yoga as instructed. If you are in YIN class, practice YIN yoga as instructed.

*Listen carefully to the instructor and move with the class. If you need to take a break, (1) stand still, (2) sit down with your head above your heart or if absolutely necessary (3) lie down with your head towards the morror. Do not go into Childs pose.

*At the end of class, please enjoy your final savanna for at least 2 minutes, more if possible. Allow the teacher to leave the room first, it’s like tipping your waiter. When you are ready to leave, please do so quietly. Respect your fellow practitioner.

*After class, replenish your thirst with plenty of water, electrolytes or coconut water. Nourish your body with healthy food and be around positive people.

*Enjoy the peace and energy you just created from your class, share it. Get some rest & come back tomorrow, fully hydrated & bring a friend!
