Leanna

I walked into my first Hot Yoga class on September 11, 2007, in sweats. I sat down for most of class, left the room and cried in my car for over 20 minutes. I went back the next day, wearing shorts. I was never one for exercise and gyms intimidated me. What I loved about yoga was that it doesn’t judge. Yoga doesn’t care your size, shape, color, habits, beliefs. Yoga accepts you right where you’re at, gives you a big warm hug and says. “I got you, I see you and I got you.” I knew I had to bring the practice to my Natomas Community. I want, so desperatly, to share this practice with everyone. When you take my class I hope you feel a sence of accomplishment. I hope to encourage you to accept the challenge of this practice, of creating the best and healthiest you.

Carol

I am honored to call Carol one of my closest friends. Carol came to the studio on May 12th, 2013, on our one year anniversay, which happened to be Mother’s Day. All of this has a huge significance. I have never met anyone who cares more about YOUR health than Carol does. Carol has been a King’s Cheerleader and Won the Miss. Govenors Body Building contest. Having worked at 24 Hour Fitness for over 25 years she is experienced in every kind of exercise and that is good for us!

Shirley

Shirley moved to Sacramento from the Bay Area in 2015 and quickly called NYS her new Yoga Home. Shirley is a true scholar of Yoga and you will always see her with a book in her hands studying her chosen art. She is also a world traveler, taking off a few times a year to explore our great states and beyond. Lucky for us, she returns to share her love of the three practices she teaches at NYS.

Shelley

Shelley started practicing at NYS in early 2016, it wasnt until October 2019 that we discovered we had a hidden gem right in our own studio. She started teaching Pilates and soon had her own following. The practitioners affectionately call her class “Dealth By Shelley”. Are you up to the challenge? Yes, yes you are.

Clare

Having recently moved from Southern California to Northern California Clare was trying out a few studios before she decited NYS was her place. She lokes the heat, and often practices in long sleeve shirts and full leggings. You gotta’ love that! Clare teaches the newest practice we offer at NYS, HOT Trifecta. A combination of Original Hot Yoga, Vinyasa and Yin. The only problem, she has a full time job that requires her to travel. This class does not have a permanent spot but when it’s on the scedule don’t miss it!

Scott

Meet the newest teacher at NYS, Scott Bolt! Scott spent 15+ years performing on stage as a Dancer. From Vegas to Germany and places in between, I am sure he has many amazing memories. Circumstances returned him home and he recently completed back to back yoga tracher trainings. Now certified in Original Hot Yoga and Vinyasa he is eager to be on his new stage, teaching yoga. Check the schedule and give Scott a big NYS welcome!
